Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Evan S — 27 Mar 2009
I'm sure a couple years after this movie came out when some of the other installments had already made and still to this day even, people question the title of this movie.
Sean Cunningham, who directed the original slasher classic, even admitted that he never believed that there would be a sequel to the original, and even after the sequel was made, he thought the idea would be dead. It's just funny to know that Steve Miner and a bunch of other directors kept making new and entertaining installments, one after another, because truth be told, they all follow each other very well and maintain a really good pace, and this one is no exception.
Cue Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover. This one definitely wins the award for having the best acting in it following the original which featured Kevin Bacon and Betsy Palmer.
The beginning was hilarious, and the ending is definitely one of the most epic endings in the franchise, with Tommy hacking Jason to death by constantly jamming the machete into his face while constantly repeating...."DIE!! DIE!! DIE!!" --> awesome.
