Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Keith M — 05 Oct 2010
I rushed to sneak this one in before it expired on Netflix instant, as this one is the one I remember the least. Probably because I only really remember the end portion. I can say that this one really just took the presidence set in 2 and was made generic in 3 and amped it up a bit. It had too many silly sidetracks for me to get into it. The twins, the dorks, the hospital, everything. But, this Jason was a very good one. Better than 2 or 3 or 5.
What surprised me again was the long opening tracking shots. I didn't think about this for early Friday movies. I guess people were actually thinking about it. And this one seemed to have a better production value and art direction. This one would go closer to top for these movies, which en masse is a bar below regular movies.
