Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Grant T — 30 Mar 2015

A fourth episode that optioned to go back to a more horror type of storyline after the silliness and all 80's goofyness of part three which was somehow disappointing in it's tone and artistic direction.

This new chapter is not very good but has a few interesting ideas, as always , should I mention, and some interesting plot development. The camera work is pretty static compared to the first two films but manage to be ok, the cinematography isn't anything special, this is the case of a basic sequel done by a director used to B grade action flicks.

The addition of the young kid in the cast is an interesting idea and the fact that the kid is a good actor only adds up to the list of positive elements in this film. This fourth installment is not the best nor the most fun of the franchise but it has it's moments.
