Review of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) by D.j. C — 12 Jan 2011

Almost so cheesy, and so 80s that it makes this movie fun to watch - by this point in the series, you know what your getting into, so people who complain should've checked out of the franchise after part 4.

. This movie though, should've been titled Jason Takes A Boat, instead of Manhattan - as only the last 30 minutes take place in the Big Apple.. and what a cruise ship? on the outside it looks like a slimy and grungy cargo vessel, yet on the inside it's almost sleek and pleasure cruise-line like.

.. I guess the captain blew all the money on the light up dance floor and disco ball in the main hall, instead fixing up the exterior of the ship - or possibly even repainting it.
