'Jason Takes Manhattan' as a title for this movie is a gigantic lie and they should really have called it 'Friday the 13th-I'm on a Boat'. As a Friday film, this one began the slide downward but it's not nearly as bad as it would become.
The budget, the MPAA, and most importantly the script truly kept Part 8 from shining bright. Overall, I say it's worth a watch and it's a good party movie. I'm in the middle as to whether I should recommend it.
