Review of Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988) by Richard L — 08 Jun 2008
This movie begins with an introduction (yes, it's back) badly voiced-over as if it were some kid's movie. The action is highly predictable (as soon as ten minutes into the movie) and not really scary.
There is an attempt at deep psychology weirdly mixed-up with parapsychology (the final girl is telekinetic ? WTF ?!) and, trust me, it's even badder than it sounds. Some parts of the movie are erratic, especially the ending.
There is also less gore and nudity than in previous movies (which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your point of view). The acting is unequal, as some characters are well played, while others really, really suck.
