Review of Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988) by Aaron C — 31 Dec 2008
Though not the best overall Friday, pt. 7 does excell where it counts. Kane Hodder is the ultimate Jason Voorhees. The kills are fast and furious and Hodder performes them with such violence it's heart-warming.
No, really. This is a great feel-good movie for me. Sure, the plot is hokey and stupid, but the Friday films have never been about artful storytelling. This sequel manages to embody the malice and mayhem the series is known for, and for that I commend it.
