Review of Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988) by Neil O — 06 Mar 2009
After being partially decapitated and anchored to the bottom of Crystal Lake, Jason is resurrected by telekinesis to continue his murderous ways. The only thing this movie has over some earlier installments is its use of weapons.
Jason had some crazy ideas in 'The New Blood', which is one of the few highlights. I am not a fan of Telekinesis Tina bringing her 'Carrie' abilities to Crystal Lake (or is it Forest Green?).
Kane Hodder fills in the mask well and brings a hulking presence to Jason. The other characters are horror movie stereotypes and had no depth at all. I didn't like the beginning, tolerated the middle, and hated the ending.
