Review of Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988) by David B — 07 May 2012

By this seventh entry in the series, being different just for the sake of it really is justification enough. The anxieties suffered by Tina throughout the film are well thought-out by the franchise's typically one-dimensional standards.

I'm asking myself why I watch these sequels, it's just I'm a big fan of Jason. By now, he has become an iconic horror character and I understand why they needed to remake the film doesn't mean they HAD to.

This is near the weskest in the series but the death scenes are quite fun and dumb, it's pretty much a brainless sequel, trying to add something new (Again) and once again it hits and misses. Mindless film, watch it if you've seen the others.
