Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Andy C — 08 Oct 2008
Jason recovers from mysteriously disappearing at the end of the last movie to return to kill yet more campers that seem all to keen to ignore this particular lakes bout of really recent violent murders of campers for which no one has been arrested for yet. This time all futuristically enhanced with the marvel that is 3-D technology that is sure to have to wetting yourself at least as much as that girl in part 2 did.
More 80's slasher standard really but here's my 5 moments to watch out for.
1) The blatant...this is 3D so were going to use it moments including the laundry pole, the harpoon and most definitely the eye popping out moment.
2) The non horror scene when one character exclaims "This is all the exercise I need before smashing a girl in the face with a yo-yo prompting her to laugh and say "hey careful you ALMOST hit me".
3) Jason getting his Hockey mask...seriously no joke its dead iconic.
4) The chubby prankster standing up against a thuggish bike gang who force his rude love interest to have manners at a local store....leaving them literally shaking their fists at him as our heroes escape.
5) Mrs. Vorhees hideous blue jumper returning for one last scare.
