Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Paul J — 03 May 2011
Everything that Steven Miner got right with the second chapter, he got wrong with this one. The ridiculous 3-D effects tried to make the film exciting but now they just come across horribly contrived; and what's with the cheesy music? This is hands down one of the worst films ever made.
The only interest comes in the final act where we finally get to see Jason don his Hockey mask. This is where he takes over as being the star of the franchise. He's the only thing mildly interesting from here on in.
Watching him casually stroll around and kill teenagers in a gruesome fashion is what these movies are now all about.
