Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Corey B — 20 May 2011

Even though this movie has a bunch of cheesy scenes to utilize the 3D, as it was originally presented as, I think this is where the series finally hits it's stride. It finally has a sense of style with crazy kills, more action, and doesn't try to focus as much on the suspense, where the previous movies seemed to fail.

I also love the distinct 80s flavor with things like the punk bikers. Plus, Jason finally adopts his iconic mask at the movies halfway point, took long enough! If you're just getting into the series, this is a good place to start, especially with the prelude cobbled together from the first 2 movies footage!
