Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Robert K — 12 Oct 2011
Part 3 is pretty good, and this installment introduces Jason we know him today, as he procures the iconic hockey mask that will define him for the rest of the series. Jason is now stalking a group of friends just hanging out, and Dana Kimmell is pretty good as the final girl besieged by him.
The movie tries again for that dreamy twist ending, but falls a bit short. The best death scene is Paul's pelvis predicament. Jason hits his stride in the next installment, but the series begins to slip.
Oh, Jason.
