Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Alex B — 25 Nov 2012

By far the best Friday the 13th I've seen so far! Its atmosphere and build-up is great, the fact that Jason gets his mask and machete is great, and the kills are just epic. He harpoons a girl IN THE EYE and crushes a guy's head UNTIL HIS EYE POPS OUT!!! How awesome is that?! Granted, the plot is dumber than in the other two, and the moronic dialogue is incredibly grating, but when Jason starts killing, man, it's so worth it! Jason's such a badass in this.

He not only smashes through a window with his head, but also, when he gets hung, he just pulls himself up and out of the noose. Granted, he probably would have suffocated in real life by now, but meh.

..it could happen, since it takes a while for people to suffocate, even in reality. Plus, it's a slasher flick! Who cares? The things that annoyed me the most, though, were the ten-minute repeat of the previous film at the beginning (I just saw it the day before, dammit!) and the jump scare at the end.

This one was exactly like the one in the first movie, but it made little to no sense. At least they saved it at the end by making it unclear whether it was real or not...JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE. But, whatever, still an awesome movie!
