Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Brett H — 17 Oct 2014
Complete copy and paste from part 2 with not one developed character and most of the violence disappoints. The film was also part of the new 3D craze in the 80s, and all the moments that are supposed to pop out are unintentionally hilarious.
This marks the first film that Jason dons the infamous hockey mask, and how he comes across it is very random and totally shrugged off. Some of the kills like a guy's head being crushed and a girl being impaled by a molten firepoker are fun, but it's so redundant by the third entry that you forget about it as soon as it's over.
It does tie a nice bow on the series if it ended here as it's a continuation of the same weekend from Part 2 and Jason is mortal, but we all know how that went.
