Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Kristopher E — 07 May 2012
If you only want to watch Jason kill dumb teenagers then this is the movie to start it off as he makes his debut slashing all the dumb kids. You may also notice that he doesn't wear his hockey mask yet, well he doesn't do that till later on in other sequels.
The film is ok and still cheaply made but there's been so many like this that you may find it a bit boring and unoriginal, which in this term, is very much the case. If you're looking to complete your Jason collection in HD, then this is without question the version of this film to get.
Not as good as the original, but still pretty fun, it serves up more of the same and continued to be fresh enough before its many other sequels got too silly...but this is still better than the horrible remake, which isn't saying much.
Bad acting too.
