Friday the 13th Part 2 is true to the spirit of the original and a fun sequel thanks to good direction by Steve Miner, Amy Steel's likeable heroine, a nice new group of teens, even more violent kills, another fantastic jump ending, and the villain that gave birth to a franchise: Jason Voorhees.
This sequel is good luck, unlike what its title suggests.
