Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Samantha R — 20 Aug 2010

Were we really so stupid back in 1981 that we needed to be reminded of what happened in the last 10 minutes of the previous film before the sequel's story starts up proper? This happens at the beginning of the third one too (which was obviously in 3-D at one point, on dear) - does not bode well! The recent remake of Friday the 13th borrows a bit of the plot from this film - why they thought that would make it any better than a straightforward remake of the original I don't know - it didn't.

Anyhoo... I guess this was one of the early horror sequels but it follows the tried and tested rules for sequels, including the one which dictates they will be crap.
