Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Dann M — 17 Aug 2013
Terror returns to Crystal Lake in Friday the 13th Part 2. When a new group of counselors gear up to open a new camp at Crystal Lake, local urban legend Jason Voorhees comes out of the woods and goes on a murdering rampage.
The story is pretty thin and is full of plot holes; especially the ending (which completely falls apart). However, the directing does a pretty effective job at building tension and suspense; particularly given the relatively low level of blood and gore.
While there are a number of problems with Friday the 13th Part 2, it's still a chilling horror film.
