Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Raji K — 06 Feb 2015
Friday the 13th really set the up this film, and surprisingly the film picks up right from the first film. Alice remains tormented by the events Camp Crystal Lake, and Jason must have his revenge. Part 2 trades in suspense for more violence and gore, and simply does not live up to the first one, but at least respects the first and continues the story line in some fashion.
The story is 5 years later, but a different camp that is too close to Jason's turf. At a summer camp full of new victims, part 2 is quite similar in style to the first one. Jason's motivates are pretty clear and he finally takes some form in part 2, but not enough to warrant seeing this one.
