Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Steve E — 09 Feb 2009
One of the only classic horror sequels to actually surpass its original. The reason this one is better than Part 1 is simple: JASON IS THE KILLER! Don't get me wrong, I loved the twist ending of the first movie, but the introduction of Jason in this second chapter takes the series to an entirely new level.
Remember, this is a pre-hockey mask Jason...he actually wears a pillow case on his head, and he's more of a wild-man living in the woods. Some fantastic scenes and a great climax, this Friday the 13th may be my favourite but I won't ever say that for sure.
