Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Wade C — 12 Feb 2009
After the success of the first film, a sequel was inevitable. This time around, we get to pretend that Jason really didn't drown, but has actually been living in the woods as some sort of deformed mongoloid hillbilly psycho who wears a pillow case on his head and brings his victims as prizes to a shrine for his mother's decapitated head.
Let me tell you, as a kid, baghead Jason used to scare the bejesus out of me. And, even though Jason is pretty clutzy and sometimes downright hilarious in this outing, I still find baghead Jason to be scary.
Plus, we get one of the best Friday survivor girls in Amy Steele. A worthy sequel in my eyes.
