Review of Friday the 13th (2009) by Galaxy Quest P — 07 Sep 2012
Usually a quality remake is hard to come by, but after so many terrible sequels there is new blood flowing in the franchise with an excellent product coming out of it. One of the better openings for a movie with the whole gang of kids falling victim before the main ones even make an appearance.
Jason was really displayed well and now that he is a smart and ruthless killer it is a whole new better side to him. Sure most of the acting was a little far and over the top for the kid roles, but that just adds to the lovable horror slasher genre that people love in the first place.
It is definitely a film that horror fans and fans from the franchise can be proud to watch and say it was a great slasher flick.
