Review of Friday Night Lights (2004) by Trisha W — 01 Nov 2008
I was surprised that this film was set in the late 80s since many of the football films lately have been in the 50s and 60s. But it was still a similar premise of a team having to fight a hardship to accomplish a goal and still finish on top.
This movie surprised me though at the fantastic progression the characters went throughout the film. You could really see the players and the coach grow. I could definitely believe the city having such a need and desire for the championship.
The story itself didn't have much pizazz than other football movies but was still an enjoyable film and it's just a shame it will get lost in the shuffle with all the other football movies that have come out recently.
