Review of Friday Night Lights (2004) by Alex F — 07 Feb 2010
So this is a true story about an american football (or as it is know in England, catch) team who's main player gets an injury, another players mom is a bit ill, and another ones dad is a bit mean to him.
They manage to get through to a final, and to top it all, they lose. Why on earth, I ask you, would anyone want to make a movie about that. Are there so many sad catch fans in the US who will watch anything as long as it involves loudmouths throwing peanuts at each other.
And why did Thornton do this? I suppose it's like country music, something that only the americans get.
