Well right off the bat I'll say this movie is very well done and very realistic. This is why I wasn't a fan of it. I'm not a fan of football, it's boring and hold no interest for me at all.
A good movie's a good movie, but this was just a little too like the real life thing for me. I appreciate how well the film depicts the intensity and pressure that is associated with high school football in the southern States, but my favourite football movie ever is Any Given Sunday, which I've heard from fans of the sport is the most UNrealistic football movie ever.
