Review of Friday Night (2002) by Private U — 28 Mar 2008
Valérie Lemercier is normally a very funny French actress, so when Claire Denis took in Friday Night to play a serious character, you feel for her. Her character is quite silent, very uncomfortable with her body and she is really interesting to watch.
The film is a great ode to love, to a moment, the atmosphere is unreal and time seems to have stopped.
