Review of Friday (1995) by Grëg W — 19 Apr 2009
This is really a movie about nothing. but in another sense its about a day in the life of two broke jobless guys who live in a somewhat dangerous neighborhood. chris tucker really makes this movie worth watching, because if it wasn't for him, this might have been kinda boring.
his lines are pretty hilarious and definitely quotable though, such as "You got knocked the f**k out!" bernie mac's small role was hilarious as well, him being the preacher who gets it on with the wife of everyone's favorite black midget tony cox.
also worth noting is the times that ice cube and tucker address the camera when something funny or serious happens. I found that quite excellent. ice cube was believable, but I think he needs to tone his acting skills up a little bit more.
all in all, this was a very enjoyable movie, though, and stands among chris tucker's better movies.
