Review of Frida (2002) by Adam K — 13 Feb 2008
A visually engrossing biopic featuring flawless performances from salma hayek and alfred molina. julie taymor's vision in creating this ambitious project marked her as a truly promising filmmaker. every sense of artistic value shines here, and nothing is left to waste.
touching drama, gripping emotion, stylish photogrpahy, a passionate visualization of history, a superb use of color and an often present sense of humor take this film to being one of the best films of 2002.
