Review of Frequency (2000) by Elian D — 02 Oct 2012
Excellent. This has it all from a fantasy time-traveling radio-frequency, to a sweet father-son story to a serial killer story. Perfectly executed by everyone involved. It even holds up to re-watching a few times. After 12 years, it doesn't feel dated.
The time-displacement whatever aura works a little funny, but within the context of the film it works well as long as you stick to the "it's just magic" and don't go spoiling it with pseudoscience. The story is compelling, the direction is impeccable and most of the cast delivers at its best.
Highly recommended.
