Review of Frenzy (2015) by Matt R — 23 May 2009
This late Hitchcock thriller is something of a return to Hitchcock's roots being set and filmed in England. Also it sees a return of the familiar mistaken identity plot where an innocent man is accused of a crime and pursued.
The production is very low key and is a grittier film than most of Hitchcock's work. This is actually quite refreshing, and I consider the film better viewing than the slicker films which preceded it - i.
E. the films from Marnie to Topaz. It may not be as famous as the classic Hithcock films, and probably isn't as good, but this film is very enjoyable and well worth a look.
