Review of Frenzy (2015) by Adam Z — 12 Oct 2007
Hitchcock's return to home and a very underrated thriller which includes a couple of the great director's most shocking scenes. The only factor that may spoil the experience for some viewers is the shift mid-way through from serious crime drama to black comedy, signalled in during the scene where Robert Rusk attempts to snap a vital piece of evidence from his rape victim's dead body.
One can almost imagine this being a Coen brothers film in places, and I guess this renders the film watchable today to a whole new audience. Some nice camera work here too, as well as some good performances.
