Ok it is official Hitchcock is the most over-rated director of all time. That said the only reason he is over-rated is because he is thought of so highly. Having said he is overated is not to say that he is a crapy director rather a decent director who in no way could live up to the hype his fans give him.
Frenzy is about the 6th Hitchcock film I have seen in the last year and once agin it is one that is supposed to be a classic but really is nothing more than a good movie. Hitchcocks style is an acquierd taste and is hard to enjoy if you aren't a fan of his.
Frenzy is one of the more interesting Hitchcocks I have seen but it is put in the same situation as all of his movies, too much hype from fans makes it hard to live up too.
