Personally I thought this was quite a weak offering from Hitchcock, not that I am an expert and although it did have a few inspired moments just came across as a fairly ordinary thriller. I think the problem is that I saw it in 2008 and it has not dated well whereas some of his other films regardless of age seem timeless.
