Review of Frenzy (2015) by W. W — 18 Jul 2011
I have seen this about three times now. one of the only films in which I actually like it less with repeated viewings. the friend I watched it with remarked that it was dry, that nothing much happened.
I actually kind of agree. it has a very british sensibility to it. it moves slowly; there is not a lot of action to it; it is quite cerebral, and is full of the very wry, black somewhat twisted british (or is that just hitchcockian?) humour that might not be to everyone's taste.
there is also at least one scene that is still difficult for me to watch even AFTER repeated viewings. not Hitch's best, but worth a look.
