Review of Frenzy (2015) by Robyn M — 25 Jul 2012
With this haunting story, about a man accused of a crime he didn't commit, Hitchcock goes back to the roots. There is the undeniable suspense that he accustomed us to so dearly, and macabre elements that were present mostly during his British period.
With its shocking and graphic scenes of sexual assault, perfectly some atmosphere, emphasis on the decline of the true meaning of friendship, this mystery story with a twist doesn't stop to astound.
While it's still not as engaging as most of his previous works, Frenzy marks Hitchcock's return and is worth a closer look.
