Review of Frenzy (1972) by Oliver S — 11 Sep 2007
I liked this movie more than I thought I would. Have heard it's one of Hitchcock's lesser films -- but, heck, I enjoyed it as much as, say, The Birds. The actress that play the Chief Inspector's wife is unexpectedly great in the second half of the film.
All the actors are good in their roles, for that matter. Although I think the police chiefs' troubled conscience and his persistence in not letting the case go at the conviction is a bit naive and/or unrealistic, the movie still works well.
Good touch of Hitchcock's sense of humor in it, too.
