Review of Freeze Frame (2004) by Shane G — 04 Jan 2008
I'm used to seeing Lee Evans on stage doing stand-up so I was interested in seeing how he does with a serious role. A prime murder suspect whose case fell apart is tormented by this for the rest of his live, convinced to the point of paranoia that the police were using him as a scapegoat.
Filming himself 24/7 so he always has an alibi he finds the police at his door accusing him of another murder but finds the one tape needed missing from his archive. On the run from the police, he seeks a way to prove he isn't guilty while his past resurfaces to haunt him again.
Paranoia thriller which Evans does really well with. Interesting concept and the poor guy never gets a break from beginning to end and the police just hate him all the way. Great thriller.
