It's not a De Niro film, It's a Curtis Jackson film, worth the watch, has a nice New Jack City vibe, feel it could have been a bit darker though and missed some bite, although I am a fan of over the top gore, at the same time you wont be complaining "dude he shot 30 times and never hit him.
