Review of Freedomland (2006) by Tyler H — 29 Aug 2007
We've got HIGH HOPES we've got HIGH HOPES! But this movie fails to deliver on those high hopes. For a movie that is suppose to be about a kidnapping it goes way off course. The racial tensions was a nice side story but then it just overshadowed everything else.
Plus it just got fucking weird. Julianne Moore was freaking annoying even if she was playing a convincing crazy person. So I wouldn't recommend it other than to hear Samuel L. Jackson call someone a "brother fucker".
So just see that one scene and then turn it off.
