Review of Freedom Writers (2007) by Donna . — 31 Dec 2009
Not as good as I thought it was going to be. I felt like I'd seen it all before, most memorably in the far superior Dangerous Minds. It would have been nice to have had the real Miep Gies in the film, because no one can tell the story of her friends capture with the emotion and intensity than the woman herself.
I found this film pretty average which is such a shame due to the inspiring story it is based on. I give it 3 stars.
