I must admit, I was a bit skeptical of this movie when I first saw the theatrical trailer. however, I was pleasantly surprised. it was not the cookie-cutter teacher-goes-into-the-inner-city-to-teach story.

..the story of erin gruwell and the freedom writers is one that needs to be told and I found myself tearing up at parts. I suggest seeing this if you're in the mood for a truly inspiring movie that doesn't drag.
