Review of Freedom Writers (2007) by Jessica H — 01 Oct 2012
Powerfully moving and undeniably compelling.
Hilary Swank's performance is terrific.
Her responsibility as a determined teacher willing to unite those whom are different is a miracle of a film.
Sure this story's been done so many times but we cant help but not look away from it.
The script takes a strong step in tackling issues such as race, cliques, ethnic territory, past history and self-expression.
I love that it's very open and sincere about where it comes from.
