The first half is actually very well done and fascinating, but as soon as the war ends in the story, the movie badly loses steam and seems to just tack on things just to pad its run time. Add onto that a very unsatisfying ending and the movie unfortunately can't maintain its quality.

Still, for the great acting and good first half alone, it's worth checking out.
