Review of Free State of Jones (2016) by Zachary Z — 16 Jul 2016

I saw this movie yesterday and I can not recommend it highly enough. It is amazing, powerful, uplifting. Matthew McConaughey plays -a real "rebel" leader (not talking about "The South", y'understand?).

This movie moved me to tears more than once. IT IS AMAZING. You should take your kids to see this, to show them where we came from as a nation and a people. If you're one of these people who buy into this "ALL lives matter" garbage and think that Black pople don't have a reason to be angry these days, you NEED to see this movie.

The way we treated them and the dehumanizing attitudes that people held--and STILL hold--toward our fellow human beings is unflinchingly exposed in this amazing, uplifting and beautiful film.
