Review of Free State of Jones (2016) by Chris L — 26 Jun 2016
Definitely an interesting depiction of life during the civil war. Especially, how the war was perceived by the poorer southerns. This movie is very graphic though with some of the violence. Definitely not for the young or squemish.
The story has a cool interconnecting storylines to it. However, it does drag on a bit towards the end. As it covers more than just the civil war, but the aftermath as well. Another aspect I wasnt expecting, but enjoyed.
Good bit of history from the other side on this movie and it was more entertaining because. Something new and fresh.
