One of my pet peeves is when Hollywood calls a fictional story history...this movie is a rather dismal attempt at a rousing feel good epic. Newton Knight, the main character played by a dirty and greasy looking Matthew McConaughey ( who actually have me the creeps in this movie.

..), was not a forward thinking justice seeker. He was a very strange man who had children with his wife, his bi-racial lover and his lover's daughter. Yes, her daughter! If Hollywood wants to make a movie about a hero either choose one who is really a hero or make an interesting one up.
