Review of Free Solo (2018) by Mark E — 24 Oct 2018
A very overrated film. This is a combination of rock climbing and home movie, as the camera follows Alex around doing ordinary boring things, like eating, shopping and talking to friends. So the film is padded with mundane details.
Should be cut by 45 minutes. Alex is not especially interesting or informative It needs a good script.. I learned more reading the internet. I like Yosemite Park where it was shot but this film bored me.
AVOID IT.
