Review of Free Enterprise (1998) by Lee M — 09 Nov 2007
The most frustrating thing about this movie is that hardly anyone has seen it.
Eric McCormack and Rafer Weigel truly become their characters so much so that you'd never know or believe that neither of them knows the first thing about Star Trek (a frequent topic of discussion between their on-screen personnas). William Shatner's performance alone is reason enough to see this movie. Shatner is outrageously funny, playing a wildly exaggerated version of himself and poking fun at his "Captain Kirk" alter-ego. The script is very snappy and full of genuine laughs (especially for big-time movie fans) and only drops the ball once or twice with an awkward scene, or a touch of lag.
