Review of Freddy vs. Jason (2003) by Gary C — 20 Jul 2010
Is it good? God no. Is it entertaining? Hell yes. There are no surprises here. It's just mindless and stupid murders, but it's funny to watch. And then Freddy and Jason just start mindlessly hacking at each other with their knives. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to laugh at its stupidity. Although, even if it weren't trying to be funny, it would still be better made than most of the Nightmare sequels.
*spoilers*.
I like (liberal usage of the word "like") that the movie ends with Freddy stabbing Jason with Jason's own machete, and then Jason stabs Freddy with Freddy's own knife glove on his severed arm. It's almost poetic (again, liberal usage of this word).
